Asus refuses to release nine-inch netbooks



Company Asus will refuse release Eee PC's with the 8,9-inch screen, informs DigiTimes referring to the statement of the president of Asian-Pacific representation Asus Bensona of the Tench (Benson Lin).
The tench has underlined that in 2009 95 percent of Asus Eee PC netbooks will make cars with 10-inch screens. The remained five percent ultracheap laptops will equip with seven-inch displays. Now into family Asus Eee PC enters about 20 models of ultracheap laptops.
Hardly there is less than half from them are equipped by 8,9-inch screens.
The first netbooks of Asus Eee PC have been let out in 2007.
In the end of January it became known about intention of basic competitor Asus in the netbooks market, companies Acer to refuse release of 8,9-inch ultrabudgetary laptop Aspire One in the second quarter 2009.
The company intends to concentrate completely on manufacture of 10-inch model Aspire One.
