Flash has got into TVs

Adobe announced the new version of Flash technology -
Flash Platform
for the Digital Home, informs IDG News. It is intended for home electronics and allows to look on the screen of the TV of video from the Internet in format FLV, without using the computer or a special prefix. The new version of platform Flash will allow to look on the screen of the TV of video in the HD-permission. It will work not only with TVs, but also, for example, with players Blu-ray and DVD. It will allow both to look a content, and to write it to optical carriers. Now on technology Flash, in particular, carry out a stream announcement various videohosting, for example, YouTube. Also Flash it is used for creation of animated sites. Flash Platform for the Digital Home have supported such companies, as Atlantic Records, Broadcom, Comcast, Disney Interactive Media Group, Intel, Netflix, STMicroelectronics, The New York Times Company, NXP Semiconductors and Sigma Designs. The first devices on its base will appear in the second half of the year 2009. We will mark that in August of last year of company Yahoo! And Intels have agreed to create a platform uniting a television and the Internet. It means installation in TVs, tuners of a cable television and players of optical disks of special processors of Intel and program Yahoo shell!. It will allow to use during review various miniapplications.

It is supposed that three identifiers from six concern new models of a player iPod Touch, two - to smart phones iPhone. That for the device can disappear under the identifier iFPGA - 0x1298, it is not informed. Now products Apple working on the basis of a platform iPhone, have following identifiers: iPhone First Gen - 0x1290, iPod touch 1G - 0x1291, iPhone 3G - 0x1292, iPod touch 2G - 0x1293. It iPhone and iPod Touch the first and the second generations. The platform iPhone 3.0 has been presented by company Apple on March, 17th. In it the toolkit of developers has considerably improved and there were new possibilities. After that analysts have assumed that soon there will be also devices on its base. Recently it became known that companies Apple and LG have concluded the contract on delivery of OLED-displays. These displays will be installed in new smart phones iPhone and players iPod Touch, and also in netbook which ostensibly intend to release Apple.

Acer has developed a computer-based Nvidia Ion


Acer has developed a compact computer-based platform for Nvidia Ion, said Slashgear. He called the Hornet.
Hornet will work with single or dual-core processor Intel Atom. Of the other technical characteristics Hornet know that with your PC come with a motion sensor controller movements. It enables you to control the device using gestures.

Date premieres Acer Hornet will not be disclosed. But we know that the first computers based on the Nvidia Ion will be the summer of 2009, and their price will be $ 299.

Platform Nvidia Ion was introduced in December 2008. Its main feature - the embedded video GeForce 9400M, which is several times the performance of the embedded graphics Intel. Computer-based Ion permit to work with HD-video with a resolution of 1080r.

Company Intel platform criticized Nvidia Ion. She believes that the Ion is just the new name for existing products Nvidia. According to Intel, power consumption of the platform will be relatively high, despite the fact that it is designed to work with the energy efficient processor Intel Atom.
