New Intel chipset for Atom processors cannot work with Blu-ray

The new Intel GN40 chipset intended for use with processor Atom, will not support HD-video which have been written down on disks Blu-ray, informs Fudzilla referring to the statement of representatives Intel. In Intel underline that the chipset can work as video of a high definition with the permission 1080р. However it concerns, for example, translations on the Internet, but not to films on disks Blu-ray. The matter is that for playing of the last it is required more resources. Earlier representatives Intel declared that GN40 will allow to work from HD-video. However they did not specify, about what video of the permission there is a speech, also was not informed and on, whether can GN40 work with disks Blu-ray. One of the basic competitors GN40 is platform Nvidia Ion. According to Nvidia, it supports as reproduction of video of a high definition with the permission 1080р, and disks Blu-ray.
